Great venue, steeped in traditions. Huge bar selection and stunning views to be had with your drinks or meal.
Obviously you need a member to attend the club, and that's what makes it so special....

Location location location, simply amazing. Filled with happy diners enjoying the food and the view. It was a Sunday and regatta of little sailing boats flittd back and forth near the dock. The grounds and the location are simply beautiful and if you can get to see it, do so
Attended for one-off pre-Christmas dinner, for the second year running, and as for the first time, the venue was absolutely brilliant!
Situated right on the harbour-shore at Kirribilli, the views of the harbour, its traffic, and the surrounding twin CBDs of Sydney City and North Sydney are beautiful, the club itself is elegant and redolent of bygone eras, with both inside and outside areas, the food and drinks are toward the "top-notch", and the tending staff are friendly, efficient, highly proficient and suitably discreet as they go about their duties!
It's a private club, though, with private club rules, and ways... not open to the general public, just to Members and Members' Guests, Dress Code, reasonable but Dress Code nevertheless, and some Security check-points to restrict ingress by the Great Unwashed Masses - still, if you're paying the kind of Members' Dues that a place like this commands, you kind of expect all that, don't you?
This Review is solely targeted at those who get invited there as Members' Guests... the Members already know its value and values and the general public don't get in! If you DO happen to get invited to a soiree there, I reckon you can expect to enjoy yourself, well, apart from navigating the narrow Kirribilli street-maze and finding on-street parking... but the club DOES have on-site parking so that's the best option if it has been included within the event package...
In all, though, a pleasant place to enjoy an afternoon or evening event if you have gotten the chance!
Good to be out at the harbour. 😁atmosphere was good. Service is good. For the chef...your poke bowls was average there were certain items were missing from the poke bowls such as pickled seaweed, sesame, kimchi, watermelon radish and the spicy yuzu dressing. So it was a let down since it was my main😟. …
This is an experience!
Fortunately we were guests of a member which got us in. Stunning location on the water. It is dripping with history, very regal. We went in winter so I can only imagine how beautiful it must be sitting on the deck on a balmy summer evening. Hoping for a summer invite!!!
Very exclusive venue for members only. We ate in the Bennelong room. Food was very well prepared. Service was dedicated since we had a private room. Highlights are the ocean trout, the cod with squid ink pasta and the fantastic dessert platter.
Had nearly two years of club Tuesday twilight and weekend regatta sailing practice here with my friends. The club is super well organized for most educational and racing activities and the restaurant is with great service. Most importantly, our best coach Karyn is very friendly and inspiring! She and another friend encouraged me to keep on sailing regardless of where I am.
As a Club Member, I'm always by nature critical, but must say the last 7 or 8 dining experiences at my Club, RSYS have been outstanding! Absolutely 5 star cuisine, service, views and wine selection. Such a superb location combined with the opportunity to sail/swim and learn sailing some 50 years ago on the very challenging Sydney Harbour. Congratulations RSYS!
